Exams are finally over, at least for a few weeks into term. To celebrate I decided to go out and shoot. When I’m just wandering about, with nothing particular in mind, I find it very relaxing. At times like these it’s not really about the photography – it’s about having a reason to go out and enjoy the fresh (albeit cold) air!
This is a shot I got about 20 minutes after the sun set. I didn’t take many images this evening, and of those, this is the only one I was really happy with. The Ouse lights up as the sun goes down, with a row of streetlamps and their reflections converging somewhere in the distance. I think there’s a beautiful symmetry to these two lines of light.
