I’m a 20-year-old photographer studying Computer Science in York, UK. I come from a small town in Yorkshire called Skipton, and I spend most of my holidays there.
I am interested in all aspects of photography, but in terms of my own work I mostly focus on landscape and urban/architectural photography. At the moment I am working on a 52-week project, 52 Weeks of Yorkshire, in which I am trying to explore my home county of Yorkshire, England, and focus on trying to tell stories with my images.
As cliched as it sounds, photography is what drives me. It is what makes me want to get up at 5am to catch the sun rising over the moors, and it is what makes me want to stay out into the night in the cold in the hope of getting that one perfect shot. Over the last year I have been working hard to improve my photography, and like any art, I don’t think I will ever truly finish improving.
There are also many other things I spend my time doing. My degree takes up most of my time, and within my course I am most interested in hardware and embedded systems. I also spend a lot of time worldbuilding and running D&D games, something I have been doing since I was 15. I love reading all kinds of books, and learning about new things, especially history and philosophy.
